Happy Thanksgiving to all here who celebrate this holiday.
I probably posted this in the past because I love it so.
It just reminds me of my family, my Grandmother especially.
Didn't everyone have lasagna on Thanksgiving like I did?
(don't fret there was the awful turkey and all those typical sides to go with it)
This old woman reminds me when my Grandmother would ask, "You hungry dear?"
You would say, "No Gram"
"Okay then just have a sandwich." As she puts it in front of you.
Apparently, the thought of not being hungry was lost on her because she never understood "I'm not hungry grandma!"
That somehow equates to a sandwich to her.
My husband loved that about her.
I see it on TV on the character Marie on Everybody Loves Raymond so my grandmother must not be the only one.
Rick loves to eat. If he could do so on a professional level, he's your guy.
Too bad he couldn't get paid for eating, he's very good at it and we'd be very very rich.
He's also good at putting flavors together that I wouldn't have ever thought of and it's only been bad once in 32yrs of knowing him.
It kills me when he'll eat something out and think about the flavors and how he can make this dish at home.
I, on the other hand, think, how soon can I come back to eat here?
I never think about cooking or making the food I am loving. Never.
We are quite different in this respect.
Just this past Sunday night we discussed food he didn't like after he made us this rockin' pork loin stuffed with goat cheese, spinach, and tapenade. The gravy/sauce with this would knock your socks off, a touch of lemon and it was so smooth and creamy making it the perfect counter-balance to the tart cheese. Damn this guy is good. No recipe, he just had a few drinks and viola he wanted to make dinner. I did not stop him.
He opens the pantry and starts taking things out and I'm saying, that going with that? Really? Eeww was my thought.
He continued with, "c'mon trust me. If it's awful we will make a couple of burgers."
I asked what he wanted me to do to help him.
Just like our first date, he told me to sit at the island and have a glass of wine and keep him company.
I can do that! I can even do that very well!
I have such a long list of things I don't like it's easier to tell you what I do like. He only has 2 things he prefers not to eat. Note the word, "prefers" Meaning he'll still eat it if it is in his food but he'd prefer not to eat these 2 things. (I can't do that, if no like, no eat!)
1. Green Olives (yet he likes them in tapenade) go figure.
2. Octopus.
Well, who the hell does like octopus?
I love green olives so I look out for him and take his olives like he takes my mushrooms. Octopus? Oh, he's on his own!
Whatever you eat on Thanksgiving. Enjoy it and share!
I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving Holiday.
Remember when eating that pumpkin pie, someone like me can't have a piece and I would so love some, so have another piece just for me!!!
No calories in that slice you take for me.😋 It will still end up on my hips.

Heading West
We are visiting Rick's 2 sisters that he 'found' a few years ago while looking for his birth family. (to those new, Rick was adopted)
We will be going to Orange County in early January.
I like the idea of it being warm when we are in artic weather here.
Hopefully, the weather will be like fall - 70's and high 60's.
But I don't know for certain.
His sisters keep telling me it will be nice. What the hell does nice mean?
Nice to me is low 70's and cool nights with a light jacket.
But nice to them could mean 80's and hot muggy evenings.
But they don't have muggy, do they?
I'm stressing this of all things. I have asked them so many times I give up. Hopefully, I bring the right clothes and the internet doesn't fail me.
We booked our flight a long time ago. I did our hotel recently. I still have to get a car. Gosh, car rentals are expensive. We normally have to get a bigger car so Rick can fit. I mean if we got a compact car Rick would never get his legs in. The hotel was a great deal for 4 days but this car is more than flying and staying.
We are staying in Mission Viejo at the Ayers Suites.
Never heard of this hotel chain but it was close to Dove Canyon where his sister lives.
Hopefully, the hotel will be as nice as their website and travel advisor says it is. The other sister lives on the top of a mountain between Crestline and Lake Arrowhead. Thankfully she is coming down to sea level to stay at the sister in Orange County.
Saying we do not know this area is an understatement.
I have been to Orange county 3 times now and I have a dear dear friend in Mission Viejo who we will be having dinner with the night of our arrival. But to say we know the area would be foolish. Rick has never been to southern CA. When I was there my friend made me do The Grove. I hate shopping but it was very nice.
I stayed in Huntington Beach which of course you know I loved since it was on the water. My hotel overlooked the ocean and I was so happy to be there with the exception that this was all work-related.
All of my trips to Orange County have been work-related.
We are hoping this trip is far better.
His one sister keeps asking what he wants to see. Rick is so not the tourist trap kind of guy. They asked if he wanted to go to Hollywood or LA. That made me laugh and shows how little they know him yet. No, I told him the only thing he would like in LA is to be on the Price Is Right.
He would like to see the family story so to speak. Since he did not grow up with them he just wants to see it all. Where they grew up and where his dad grew up. (Huntington Beach and Long beach) More about family than Disneyland or Hollywood. (yes they actually asked if he wanted to go to Disneyland)
I, of course, am only thinking shallow shit. What will the weather be like? What clothes to bring? I am assuming it will be like our fall weather but who knows? I don't want to pack a lot but this type of thing will stress me out. I may have to check a bag which I never ever do. The ONE time I checked a bag in my entire life, my bag went to Hawaii, I went to Pennsylvania. I'd have preferred it the other way around.
So if any west coasters out there can give me a clue as to the weather I'd appreciate it.

- I know you can't predict precisely but is it normally in the '60s and '70s or warmer?
- Can I lose 50lbs before I get there? Can I grow 5 inches taller?
- Will I stick out without blonde hair and a beautiful tan?
- Will I be able to acquire their up-speak accent in time? (everything ends higher and sounds like a question even though they are making a statement)

Some Bad Ass Women.
Some of the badass women I've seen over the past couple of weeks.

No wonder weak men are scared of women.

My brave dog.
Izzy the wonder dog saw a big fuzzy spider in our house.
Where the hell did this big guy come from was my first thought quickly followed by, damn it Rick isn't here and I will have to remove it.
Like the song goes, I don't like spiders or snakes.
Why is Rick never hear when I need him?
It is Rick's job to handle all the bugs and critters.
You know those were the vows to our wedding, to honor, respect and kill all the critters.
You know just like everyone does.
Remember the last time a toad came in the back door with me?
Rick wasn't home then either. It stayed under the sofa until Rick could coax it out when he finally got home. It seemed an eternity to both Izzy and I. Izzy stared at that poor toad for a long time until Rick arrived.
Izzy was the watchdog over the big toad so it didn't harm her human.
I came downstairs to have lunch. Izzy was very busy tearing apart her teddy bear from limb to limb spitting stuffing out along the way.
Suddenly Izzy did a funny movement which made me look at her. Her jump made me look away from what I was making. Izzy is now staring at this big fuzzy spider on the floor. Izzy backed up and went to the area rug.
Then the spider moved towards her on the floor.
Izzy jumped. Oh my big brave dog. Izzy you are 75lbs and this spider you could step on and save both our lives. But you're afraid, my big brave girl.
She did not bark, just growled under her breath at it which I find so damn funny. Not a loud growl, like she is trying to hide it.
I was going to be kind and pick it up but...
It had a proper burial instead.
I know you all will tell me not to kill the spider and how awful I am.
Damn right. I killed the spider, I'm going straight to hell while his family mourns him. I say it's a him because that sucker was huge to me. Too big for me to pick up like a daddy long legs which I do all the time. But not this furry bastard.
I tried to get it to a piece of paper so I could then put it outside. It was giving me a hard time. I swore I heard it say, 'Nah nah nah nah nah nah"
And just so you don't judge my dirty floors, it's not all dusty and debris...just some. The fuzz you see is the inside of the stuffed animal Izzy was chewing apart just before this huge guy appeared. I saw that the spider had the stuffing all over all his "feet" but I sure wasn't about to remove it - just him.
What would you have done? How the hell do they get in my house?
Why doesn't money just appear on the floor like a critter will appear?
Or something of use? Not a spider or toad!

Since I've been gone, yeah yeah.🎵
Yes, another music reference title.🎜
So while I've been gone -
**The Astro's were caught cheating. Surprise!
No kidding, everyone has been saying this for years now.
Now there is video proof and actual players are talking.
Yet my team is the evil empire.
I hope MLB takes away their WS title and suspensions take place.
I also hope the Astro's get a huge fine and punishment.
Take that Verlander and your lousy Astro's.
The Nats kept saying they were on to them and they were going to fool them.
Hey, Astros, you're in the Patriots club now, congratulations.
No win from now on will be real to those who aren't your fans.
**The impeachment hearings are on my local channels all damn day.
If not on then they are discussing it ad nauseum.
So all the fun things I record to watch while making dinner are gone
(Ellen for one)
I will not watch these hearings.
Or the regurgitating discussions after the hearing that goes on for hours.
I do recall watching Clinton's impeachment hearing because I had just had my 4th back surgery and I was at home recuperating.
After my surgery, Rick would never leave for work without making sure I had all I needed once propped up and somewhat comfortable.
Books? Check. Water? Check! Medication? Check. Remote? Oops.
He forgot as did I the remote. (I tell him it was his kiss before he left, I forgot everything! He didn't buy it either. )
I could see it. But it was across the room.
I just couldn't get up without pain and difficulty and truthfully I was just being lazy because it hurt. So essentially just a big baby.
I thought, oh well, I will pick it up when I have to get up to use the bathroom no sense in putting myself out, I've got books right here.
So there I laid, unable to reach the remote and no one around to fetch it. What's a lazy girl to do? I laid there and watched TV.
Then I was hooked. Not this time. I'm weary of it all.
Just kick him to the curb all ready!
While I was gone -
**Another school shooting happened. Enough said. 😡
**Barbara either hates my comments, which is understandable, or something happens to my comments. So Barbara, if you are reading this, I am no longer leaving comments after last Monday's but I am reading you every day.
**I no longer enjoy the shows on TV that I used to like.
How'd that happen? This is Us just seems off to me.
And don't get me started on all the back and forth. It's Year 2030 to year 1972 and then present day. Oy Vay.
Million Little Things is just so whiney. Rich people whining.
Were they always like this?
What the hell is going on with me? I used to like those shows.
Now it's like if I see it, eh. If I don't the next one will catch me up.
It just all seems Eh. Instead, I've been watching a lot of music content.
Clarence Clemon's documentary showed me the person I always thought/hoped he was. (from the E Street Band)
That was a nice change of pace.
Normally I watch things, like Dan Rather Big Interview on AXS, with old rockers and they are so obnoxious and clueless to reality.
But this guy was the real deal. His heart was as big as he was.
**Seth Meyers Netflix special was better than I thought it would be.
I thought it would be a lot of politics and thankfully it was not!
With the exception of the locations and having an actual baby, I would love to be in labor like Seth's wife. Water breaks, baby out. Done! No 23 hours of labor for Mrs. Meyers.Wow! Merely minutes for both kids and him telling the story is pretty cute.
**Are you watching Season 2 of The Crown? I sure am.
I don't care for the actress playing the Queen as much as Season 1 but by the end, I may not find her as off-putting. It could just be the change that bothers me. Jury still out on that one. Do you like her?
The first Queen actress brought more empathy and said so much with her blue eyes.
Boy not this version of the queen. She is as cold as ice and lacking empathy. Perhaps that is actually how she was as she got on in age.
I guess perhaps one must be that cold to make some of these decisions but in the same sense she is just so unlikeable to me and I don't think the next King, Wiliam, is that lacking in empathy.
I wonder how close to the truth some of this stuff really is.
I think it was particularly sad with what I think was episode 3.
It is when a mine collapsed onto a school killing all in its path in Wales.
She had to be told to show sympathy and to console these parents who just lost their children that day. She took her hanky to a dry eye in front of the cameras to make them think she felt something.
Which she admits she did not and she doesn't know why.
It is a fascinating look into that odd way of life.
I would love the money but not being a royal and all the bullshit that goes with it.
I think poor Meagan is finding that out right now, isn't she?
I'm not sure if the first season was terribly accurate but if so I can see why from the time she was such a little girl this stiff upper lip and not showing her cards could make a grown woman turn out this way.
Since I've been gone -
**Epstein's death was not suicide. (only my opinion like everything on my blog)
I think that the two federal prison staffers that were taken into custody were taken to prove that. While the charges were about their failure to conduct regular checks on the sex trafficker. I think everyone knows that it was more of a Ray Donavon type situation. (a fixer) These guys may have been paid to not be there so this could go down. So these regular ole prison staffers are going to be pressured and scrutinized and they will squawk like chickens.
This alone explains why I must break my habit of watching 20/20, Dateline and 48 hours!
As I said to a friend recently, it's always the damn husband why look anywhere else? Yes, Rick was standing next to me when I said this.
To which Rick replied, "thanks now if something happens to me Susan is going to be telling the police it's always the husband."
"Well, sorry bud. But it is always the husband, why can't you just leave? Why must you always kill everything and everyone in your path?"
"Well, I didn't do it. Don't make it sound so personal."
Rick tells me he'd never kill me because he's messy which of course makes me laugh out loud.
He goes on, "You always tell me I could never commit a crime because I am so messy I'd lead the police right to where I am"
"True Richard"
"Besides you have also told me numerous times as well as everyone else I might add, that I could leave you but you're going with me. So if I am somewhere and you're not, I am doomed don't you see?"
"Now you see how I am plotting this tale, Rick, I'm not just a pretty face you know...tee hee"
"I'm sleeping with my eyes open Margaret!"

Taking a Break.
Leaving the blog world for a bit. Just taking a break.
It feels like it is turning into Twitter, which is a horrible thought.
My email is on this site so you can always email me, I'd love that.
I'll be by to read you all, just not writing for a bit.

Wishes.
My mom used to say to me, "don't wish your life away."
Did your mom tell you that when you were a kid?
Here are a few things I wish for this week.
1. That Joe Buck was never allowed to announce a major league baseball game ever again after 2019!!. Since there are websites devoted to the phrase 'I Hate Joe Buck' and Instagram accounts with that same phrase, I Hate Joe Buck, I may not be the only one.
Can't Bob Costas or Bob Uecker announce all games? :-) Uecker is a hoot but he is also damn good along with being funny.
2. We will live to see retirement sooner than later.
3. My dog will live far longer than what my vet keeps telling me.
4. We will not have much snow this year.
5. That movies can come out in theatres and on-demand at the same time. I hate going to the theatre anymore. ( Besides, I make far better popcorn.)
6. We will win a large lottery very soon. This Tuesday would be good enough.
7. That I didn't have to run up and down stairs all day long!
Although because I do, I can. I am convinced of that.
8. That all our work vehicles hang in there a bit longer!
9. I wish I didn't have to take an Instagram class this week to learn how to use it more effectively for business. I am tired of social media.
10. See #6. 😁
I had someone ask me at my previous job if I had 3 wishes what they'd be. Everyone at the table was giving their answers. I knew my first one would be to have unlimited wishes for my whole life so the other two were meaningless. They all stared at me and asked, "is that allowed?" As if telling 3 wishes is real. That always stuck with me and makes me laugh.

Imaging Center
Well some of you really had some opinions about your favorite music. I loved it.
Some of you even got a bit hostile. I found it all funny though, no worries. I love that you all have such varied opinions. Hopefully that can and will keep making good music.
Rick had to have his renal tests today at 8am.
You see Rick has stage 3 kidney disease and has for some time now.
I do believe I've shared that before.
But suddenly his numbers took a slight turn. They are concerned as we all are.
But because it was a slight turn they told him to stop a couple of his drugs and over the counter items. That could be the cause or we could be dealing with someone far worse.
I can't wait to get the results.
He just lost 25lbs and we are hoping that will help with some of this.
He is a bear when he is dieting.
I keep telling him I'll give him a kidney should he need it. I hope I would be a match.
This morning he had to fast and drink 3 glasses of water 1 hr. prior and 1 gas x one hour before his tests. We found the Gas-X a head scratcher but did as we were told.
I write this as I await his text to tell me he's out of there and on to his appointments.
I made him coffee in a travel mug to keep in the truck while he's having his tests.
I know that the first thing he will want after getting out of there is coffee.
Neither of us do well without our morning coffee.
This whole kidney and A-fib shit is what made him do his DNA in the first place.
He is adopted and he thought it may help. Then he met his siblings.
He begged me not to tell them anything about his health.
He feared they would think he was looking to harvest organs. That made me laugh.
But the reality is they could think he just wanted to meet them for donor or something.
He so did not. He wasn't looking for them. He wanted to see his medical history but the dumb ass did the wrong DNA test. 23andme gives you all that information.
He did ancestry.com and his siblings popped up.
When I asked if he wanted to do the other test he said no. What is it going to do for him?
He has this he tells me. It's not like he can or could have prevented this according to his kidney doctor. Then why do they all ask him about his family after he tells them he is adopted.
I was thinking that it would be nice if when a child is adopted a list of medical history goes along with the paperwork. That would sure be helpful. But I also get why some don't wish to do that. My Step Mom is adopted. She never wanted to find her birth family. She says she couldn't care less. I never believed her when I was young. But now that I am older and see her as a human that is exactly how she deals with everything in her life. So I get her decision and it works for her.
I often wondered what I would do if I were adopted. I tease Rick that it would be a blessing to find I was adopted because I am 180 degrees different than my family. He searched for his mom I think because he didn't have a great relationship with his adoptive mother. But he adored his adopted father, I mean to tell you he worshiped him. So he never had the burning desire to look for him as he did his mother. And by the time he did wish to find him he had died from an accident.
While writing this I have stopped so many times. It is now almost 11am.
Rick had his tests. He tells me he flirted with the technician. Of course he did.
They talked about their favorite wines and that started those two off and running.
I heard about all the conversations and laughter. Of course he made her laugh.
Then she had to stop because she got a cramp in her finger. Rick said, give me your finger and he rubbed the tendon that was knotted and she was blown away; how he felt the knot and made it go away.
She said at the end of this test, I am not supposed to tell you this but you've been so kind and happy this morning and no one ever is. Everything looks fine here Rick so don't worry.
But you didn't hear this from me!
So bonding over wines and then he rubs her finger and now they are friends for life.
He called to tell me all this in great detail and that everything looks fine. It probably was the meds as they thought. I can't wait to hear the kidney doctor tell him the same. Staying at stage 3 for as long as we can is our hope. Everything changes once we hit stage 4.
Only my Ricky would make friends at the imagining center.

Rock
I miss rock 'n roll music. I know I'm an old fuddy-duddy.
I do not like rap, so-called dance music or most of the pop music out there.
It all sounds the same. Same with country.
I did like some country but the new country all sounds like a boy band and the same. I do not like the country or otherwise boy band sound.
I recall in the early '90s or late '80s when rock was fading I watched a TV special with this guy called Garth Brooks. I had heard all this hoopla about the man. He had just played at our county fair and my husband said I hear he is a big deal now in Country Music but he made this gig when he was not so big and he is honoring it. Maybe we should go.
I laughed and said, I am not a country fan I don't think so.
Boy, would I have liked to have seen Garth! I loved all those from that time, Little Texas, Martina McBride, Trisha, and Travis Tritt to name a few. (Vince gill who I really like is now playing in the Eagles)
Not I love Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars and Pink to name a few newer artists.
But I love the rock driving sound.
I think we all enjoy what we grew up with don't you?
I am certain that if I played some Allman Brothers a 20 something would think it was awful.
When I was a child my mom listened to all the crooners. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin were huge in our house. I can sing those songs today and remember the words. And I still like the music as well as Michael Buble who is of that same ilk.
There are no more rock bands.
Hell, most so-called artists don't even play an instrument today.
Their singing is fixed in the studio.
Now if you wish to hear rock you must find a classic rock station and they just repeat the same songs to the point of hating the songs
I recently heard Adam Levine from Maroon 5 talk on a podcast about rock 'n roll being absolutely dead. He's right, but I still hate that it's dead.
I am curious to see what the next thing will be because this stuff I hear is so redundant and boring for me.
I recall how my father hated rock music - to him it was noise.
He'd tell me that all the time! I'm so old I am beginning to understand him now.
I used to play my albums loudly and he would come into my room and make me turn it down. As soon as I could afford headphones I bought them.
Then he'd yell at me for listening to it so loud through my headphones.
"Going to lose your hearing" he'd tell me over and over again.
Well I have. But I don't think that is the reason.
When he was 70ish he got hearing aids.
I asked him if it was due to all that damn loud rock and roll you were listening to. He stuck his tongue out at me.
He knew I was just repeating his line he said to me for years.
I don't think rock will come back in my lifetime.
I just have to listen to my pandora with my list of rock, country, Motown & pop.
At this point, I'd even take a big hair band. Bon Jovi, are you listening? LOL
There are always songs that will remind me of a time, a person and I love that music can do that for you.
What is your preferred musical genre?

People Are Strange
Yes, that title is a song by Jim Morrison and The Doors.
All you old rock 'n rollers know this I would suspect.
I went to Costco the other day to pick up some big ass cans of green beans for Izzy. Every single time someone who is checking me out says, "wow you really like green beans." The closer to Thanksgiving they will say, "Oh making green bean casserole for the holidays?" Now I just don't say anything about my dog. Let them think whatever they wish. Yes, I used to say, No my dog eats these in place of a 1/2 cup of food for her diet" But I don't bother anymore. The last time I said that our vet has her on a diet the cashier said, "Oh you privileged white people and your dogs." (she was Hispanic)
This week while at Costco I was unloading my cart onto the belt.
I had my card in my hand but needed both hands and put it in my mouth as I used two hands to grab something to put on the belt. Then I took it out and put it on the first item so the cashier could have my card to scan.
It was now my turn and she said, "please pick up your card"
I must have given her a puzzled look and she said, "you just had that in your mouth I am not touching it."
Oh my goodness, she's right, so I apologize and pick it up for her to scan. I was thinking as I held it she would scan it. BUT SHE GRABBED IT.
What was the point of that? I did not ask. I didn't care enough.
The bubble over my head was shaking its head.
As she was ringing up my beans and assorted items she said to me, "look she's got it in her mouth too" about the woman behind me. I turn to look behind me and I nod. I mean what am I going to say?
I understand her asking me to pick this up. I really do.
I don't blame her one bit. That is gross if it was in my mouth.
But then she grabbed it and scanned it anyway.
I wanted to stand there and wait to see what she said to the woman behind me but it would have been so obvious if I just stood there. But I was very curious.
Did she make her pick up her card and then touch it anyway?
People are funny.

City Slicker?
My husband told me last night that I have "citified" him.
If you say 'citified', you haven't been.
My hillbilly. 💓
Speaking of Rick.
Here is his girlfriend.

Technology Venting
I am still unable to leave comments on a lot of blogs unless I am able to get to a browser that will allow me.
Sometimes IE works, sometimes it doesn't.
Chrome no longer works and that is my preferred browser.
I left messages this weekend on Linda's blog and I never saw it so I assume nothing is working these days.
Then my husband said he wanted to see that new program Morning Show on Apple TV.
He said do they offer a free week or anything?
I said they do. He had me sign up. I set up an account.
We signed into Apple TV and watched 2 episodes.
Then it said I did not have an account so we couldn't watch the rest of the season. What?
I called Apple. They said it must be my TV.
I explained that I was using a firestick.
What model? she asks in a snippy tone.
I have a firestick, 2nd generation I tell her.
She said, "It should work on a 2nd generation firestick"
Well, then she tells me I don't really have an account.
But you told me my email. I don't own anything Apple so how did you get my email without an account that I just signed up for?
'I don't know' was her standard offer.
I was so ticked at this point. I mean to tell you I HATE Apple.
Hence why we own nothing Apple. I will never own Apple anything.
Those that work there are so friggin' pompous, condescending and rude.
So my next question to Ms. Happy Customer Service was if it was possible to be able to watch a few episodes if I didn't have an account and she actually said, "DUH. No."
bitch.
I thought perhaps they may not wish to let you watch a full season in 7 days and then cancel and I get that if that is what they are doing, but just tell me.
But DUH NO is apparently the professional answer at Apple to that question.
I explain AGAIN that we were able to watch 2 episodes and then it said we no longer had an account. Can you help me with this issue?
She then put me on hold to go find out.
She comes back on the line and tells me it must be my TV.
I didn't understand so I ask if I can repeat all of this information back to her.
It works perfectly on a 2nd generation Firestick but it might not work on my TV.
Is that correct?
She is now exasperated and gives me a big sigh and said, "No, if you have a firestick it will work on an old machine like yours (less than 5 yrs old)"
I am biting my tongue not to tell this little wench to shove it up her arse.
But I do not.
So then why do you think it's not working?
"I don't know, was her response - call Amazon."
My firestick works fine though.
We don't have an account for you.
And she hangs up.
Everyone is so quick to pass the buck and not look into anything further or for that matter just be fucking nice.
Geez. I do it all day long, it's sucks but for the love of God try it, people!
I think this is punishment for having good service last week in upstate NY.
No one can give me an answer. No one at Apple knows anything. If you call they want the model of your stupid phone. If you have more than one product, may I suggest you not just ask about an iPhone.
I decided to call back in the afternoon after I had calmed down.
I waited on hold for 22 minutes.
Then a nicer woman answered. She was pleasant but befuddled about this situation. She said she can see my account. No problem. It should work for the full 7 days but I need to check to be sure you can view a full season if only in trial. We went through it all and as far as she was concerned I should be able to view any shows. She put me on hold to see if she could get answers. Apparently, she couldn't because I was on hold for 37 minutes and I gave up and hung up.
Would I be getting this lousy treatment if I had something Apple?
Something tells me I would. Another reason to never get anything Apple if it can be avoided. When I have issues with my phone my carrier helps, if not once they sent me to Samsung. I got it fixed in less than 5 minutes. They knew the issue and were so kind and helpful. I will take an Android anytime over Apple. I think this Apple is Rotten to the core.
I am just canceling this thing. I don't care enough about this show all that much. However, it won't allow me to cancel. Nice huh?
So now they tell me I must call ITUNES to get it canceled.
WTH? No, I am not calling Itunes and sitting on hold all afternoon.
How about I remove my credit card from the account? I did that instead.
I thought the 2 episodes I saw were good.
Rolling Stone said it was boring so I had no idea what to expect.
We were anything but bored.
Jennifer Aniston is probably the best I have ever seen her in a non-comedic role. Steve Carrell is never a disappointment!
Reese Witherspoon is very good as well. She plays one feisty gal here.
So if you have apple products I'd recommend this show from the 2 episodes I was allowed to view.
In the meantime don't buy Apple Products!
There are far better companies and products out there that don't cost as much. From what my apple friends say my products work better and have customer service in the US and they are actually helpful. Go figure right?

Blogger is messed up yet again
I had a post for Friday but can't load the images that go with it on blogger.
Isn't blogger fun? I saw that several hundred people wrote on their site this issue so I know it's not just me this time.
Instead, I am going to share this wonderful customer service I received Thursday
My ex-mother in law Betty is in a rehab facility now. She is alert and talking but in a lot of pain and very black and blue I understand.
Anyway, I wanted to send some flowers to Betty so I googled florists in Granville NY. I figured there couldn't be a lot of them.
A few popped up and one had awesome reviews. I read them all and then went to their site and viewed some arrangements. I decided to call because I was not seeing what I wanted.
This very nice young woman answered the phone and walked me through a few things and we decided on the flowers and vase and I was happy.
I gave her the address to the facility and Betty's name. I told her I did not have the room number would she be able to get it from the front desk? She said that is indeed what they do, no problem. She asked if I wanted it delivered today.
I said I did. I gave her my credit card and thought that was the end of it.
She text me a photo of the arrangement. She felt bad because one of the flowers I wanted was unavailable so she replaced them with roses. She wanted me to see if these were okay. It was beautiful. Not what I originally wanted but this was gorgeous and Betty will love it none the less. I told her it was fine and it can be delivered. She thanked me. I've ordered flowers from many cities and at no time did someone show me what was being sent or care if they didn't have what I wanted. They usually just made the change without my consent.
I was blown away, but it got better.
Then late afternoon she texts me that she delivered it herself to Betty.
That Betty was laying down and sleeping when she arrived.
She smiled and opened her eyes and they visited for a while. I about fell over, since when does a delivery person stay and chat with the receiver?
I was thrilled and amazed.
She told me that Betty told her she wanted to stay laying down if that was okay because she has been sitting up all day and doing her exercises and her back was aching. Then she told me that Betty told her that we are special people (me and Rick) Wow they had a full-on chat, didn't they?
That would never happen in a million years here. Never.
It makes me want to move to a small town.
I've never been to Granville, only driven through to get to Lake St Catherine in Vermont.
I thought Granville was where Rachel Ray lived when not in NYC. I could be wrong.
So there are nice people out there, just not where I live.
It's getting easier and easier to move.
I am counting the days.
