Remember how I said I need to live in the moment more?
Enjoy what is in front of me and stop wishing my life away?
Well I have decided that it is all just horse shit.
People who tell you this are not living in the north east or mid-atlantic right now.
Seriously I am now longing for spring. L-O-N-G-I-N-G!!
My dry scaly skin is begging for spring as well.
I want to open windows and breath in the spring air and sneeze, wheeze and cough.
I want to walk my dog with a pocketful of kleenex.
I want to see the blossoms through my allergy tearing eyes.
What I'm trying to say is that I want to shove that shovel.....
Last night while walking the dog I had to trace my steps from the late afternoon walk.
I dropped a glove and damn it those are the 3rd pair I've done that with this season.
The first pair were beautiful that I bought at Macy's just before the season of endless snow.
After I lost one of those I realized ugly cheap gloves were the way to go.
But as sometimes happen my hands get warm.....don't ask.
I took them off and was carrying them.
When I went to make a snowball for my dog to chase I realized I only had one glove.
But I found it! Right in the middle of the road. I was not walking down the middle of the road so how it got there is anyones guess. It may have been trying to get home or perhaps looking for the lost sock from the dryer.
The positive spin of all this clothing, cold and snow?
I know there has to be one, give me a minute. Oh yea, no bra. A head scratcher you say? Nah. Here is the logic.
I can't go out of the house without a bra. Ever.
But with the multitude of layered clothing and the big parka no one can tell if I have one on or not. Look, I work from home. I don't exactly dress all that lovely some days at home and in the winter no one knows this. Come spring time with no coat, no layers, it's bra time, all the time. But I'd gladly wear a bra 24/7 if I could have spring right now.
Last week it took some people over 8 hrs to get home in a normal 40 minute commute due to the storms here in DC Metro. Some it was longer. My neighbor had to overnight at his office. He works less than 15miles away. Trees were down on parkways and everything came to a standstill. Cars were abandoned. Cars ran out of gas. My only thought watching this unfold on television is "what if you have to go to the bathroom?" C'mon I can't be the only one who thought that. It's not like you can get out of your car and drop trough and pee on the side of the road in the snow. Brrr......
Again, I am grateful I work from home.
Besides I would have had to have worn a bra.

No bra? My boobs would be hurting way too much by the end of the day! As for the peeing you need to get one of these:

Though I don't know if I could do this or not!
Mamma that device is utterly gross! I will hold it like a camel before using this thing. Jeez.
every time i turn on the weather channel it seems as if the damn northeast is hogging the weather channels time. but then i guess there isnt much to say about the pacific nw since its been mild, slightly drizzly and in the 40's for the last month.
Tammie - show off!
Okay, I was on Mamma Has Spoken blog and seriously, how could I ignore a title such as 'Snow and No Bra' because it certainly captured my attention so well, here I am!
I love it and I couldn't agree with you more! Sweatshirts equivocate to 'no bra'...it just does! so yeah, whil I am ready for spring, the ta-tas can hang awhile longer while the winter gets out of its system!
I guess with the titles of your other blogs, you have forced me to hang out even longer!
regrettably, there is only minimal snow falling at my house. i would really like a couple of feet of snow dumped here.
as for losing gloves, i only use gloves with idiot loops. tie everything on. i learned the hard way.
but it's long johns all the time for me, except if i go out dancing. for me tho only difference between pjs and indoor daywear is that bra. i don't like to jiggle.
plus while i'm lying face down digging out my snowcave, the bra adds an extra layer of warmth between me and the snow, which i nice.
I am having some bra "issues" lately and had thought of blogging about the situation and here I find your bra-related entry today!! Ha..ha...
I have dropped a glove or two, too, while walking the dog(and have gone back for it and actually found them a few times) and one time...I dropped the poop bag(!)--iy just slid out of my hand while wearing thick gloves so didn't notice(and yes, I went back for it, too)
I am glad for you that you do not have to commute for work. I only have a 10 minute one and no highways, which makes life less stressful, especially in winter weather.
Dam. I guess I'm gonna have to wear a bra again tomorrow because it's supposed to be 70 degrees (again). I know, that's just mean. I wish I could send you some of our good weather. Better yet, I wish you could come on over for a visit. I do like your bra trick however. I use it myself when the weather drops enough to wear a sweatshirt.
Bra free in snow clothes! Love the idea!
Like Tammie said, it's been rain and drizzly for the whole month, but! I've got bulbs coming up! Daffodils and crocuses. Spring is on it's way in the PNW.
Sending rain your way,
J
Jess, normally in Feb our crocuses are rearing their pretty little heads. Now they are under snow.
Tia/cottage - but sun all the time is boring no?
Haha, I hear you about the bra, yesterday I had to buy groceries and thought not to wear it under the coat, but then I put it on...too uncomfortable.
Btw I don't use gloves, I keep the hands in my pockets.
this is the same theory I use when I drive my son to school with no bra, a sweatshirt and a robe on. My door comes up high enough so it shouldn't be noticeable I figure!!
I agree about SPRING. My back is so dry from standing in the shower with the warm water on my back just because I don't want to get back out into the cold bathroom.
If you have to be stuck in winter a while longer, revel in all your braless days..
