Good for you! Gang bangers they may have been but they were also young men with Mama's and Grandmama's who HAD taught them manners, they just needed to be reminded of their better side.
Now I think this is a great story. Someone needs to be teaching manners.
Grace - I do think that saved my butt. Seeing me as a mom or some such figure.
Olga - Rick didn't. He was so worried. But it all worked out.
That was so funny how you stood up to that gang. Bet you did remind them of some strong woman in their lives. Of course your back up in Rick had to help.
Patti, But I didn't know they were a gang. I was so clueless to them being anything more than boys that were too old to trick or treat, and that had no costume on. I just saw a few rude kids. Rick saw the bandana color and the tattoos that told us who they were. Again, I was just clueless. I know Rick standing up and puffing himself out didn't hurt but honestly, if they wanted to hurt us they could have. I am certain if they were who Rick said they were and their tattoos said they were then they could have pulled a gun right then. But they didn't they turned it around and said please and thank you and after the first one none of the others shoved their hands in my bowl. But boy looking back we sure find this funny!
The bangers come from a matriarchal society. You reminded them of their mothers. You were the top dog!
