Yesterday was 92 degrees and they were talking about the horrific heat index of 105. It was hot and humid and icky. Yes, that is my professional term, icky.
Rick went to a home and they did not have the air conditioning on.
WHAT? They had the windows closed as well.
I googled the address to see if this was a small older home.
Nope, it's listed as $993,434. So not old or small.
You never know one's circumstances.
Perhaps they are broke and can't turn on the air.
Perhaps because they are from a continent of extreme heat this is no big deal to them. Perhaps.
But with the Mercedes in the driveway and the Landrover in the garage, I would venture a guess that money isn't the issue. Maybe they just wanted to torture the guy coming to their home. If so it worked. He was so miserable. He called me when he got into his van. He said the air was blasting on him. He wanted it to be nipple hard cold. Good luck with that Ricky.
Rick took a photo of how wet his shirt was and text it to me.
It's that time of year where he brings a clean shirt with him in the morning.
You can't walk into your next appointment looking like a drowned rat.
He said a wet t-shirt is not a good look for him, it shows off his belly.
I told him to be proud, he worked hard for it.
So he put on new deodorant, clean t-shirt and off to the next job.
P.S. Paul we still can't get to your blog even with the link you gave me that worked before.

It's amazing where some people will cut expenses no matter how much money they have. Me? I hate to pay for parking. I'll walk a long way to not pay.
Mike my father used to do that too. And it is better than no air in 105 degree weather. I recall him visiting me in Seattle and he went bat shit crazy on the cost to park so he parked 10 blocks away and made my poor mom walk up hill. I wish we had driven it would saved us all a lot of grief.
My in laws thought it's weak to use AC and my mother in law is ALWAYS cold. I about died one day I was over there. For some reason it is not weak to use the heater though.
Julie that is a damn hoot. What strange "logic"
My wonderful mother in law turns the air completely off at night!!
I do not understand - it will cost a hell of a lot more to cool house the next day. She is so weird!
April, you are so right.not that she's weird, but that it will take longer to cool it down all day. I turn mine down so it's colder at night. I like to sleep in arctic type weather with big down comforters on me. :-)
