Daylight Savings Time, oh how I love thee.
Izzy The Wonder Dog slept until 6:15am. Yea. I was outside at 6:30am walking her and it was light out. I so love this.
Why oh why can't we just friggin' stay on DST?
Can I tell you how nice it was not walking a dog at 5:30a in the morning and in the dark? I did not even notice that I lost an hour.
I see where Florida is trying to pass a bill to make it permanent for them.
I know this is a complicated thing for our government to wrap their heads around but I think that the majority of the people want this.
Why not just pass this already? You on board?

Well, our 'representatives' don't give a shit about us. They're only there to advance their party. So we have to come up with a way for them to think there's some sort of political capital in actually doing something productive for us. THEN we might see some action on leaving the goddamn clocks alone.
If everyone in the USA wanted it to happen, it still wouldn't unless there was something in it for the 'representatives'.

I've read three blogs today that don't want the time change, but I love daylight savings time and would be happy to have it year around. It's mostly people with kids who don't want their kids waiting at bus stops in the winter in the dark who want it. Simple solution: start school later.
I am lucky that Levi doesn't get up until 10 AM but then he's a night owl like me. LOL
Jean, I think my parents hated me. They wouldn't have cared if I was waiting at the bus stop in the dark. I would have heard how they had to walk uphill both ways in the snow with holes in their boots to stand at the bus stop in the dark.😄
Also the kids,at the bus stop around here are always in daylight. I see them on my 2nd walk with Izzy and that was before DST.
I think permanent DST would be a good thing.
Up here in the tundra in December & January it would definitely be dark when the high school kids are waiting for the morning bus. Wouldn't get light till after 8am for much of the winter. That's one concern for upstate NY.
Apart from that, I'd be all for a permanent shift.
Brian, we must start school later here because big and small kids are at the bus stop at 8a.They all fuss over the dog so I see 'em every morning.
LOL! I agree with you Peggy, but I prefer it if we could "fall back" and stay there instead of the "spring forward". Then again, I'm the person who prefers cold or snowy weather too. (lol) Hope your Tuesday is fantastic and hugs...RO
Ro what is so funny about what you said is that I too have always preferred a colder climate. In fact, I was given an opportunity to move to Florida in my career but I was holding out for Minneapolis. Everyone thought I was crazy to turn down Miami. Then I left the tundra and now I can't go back. I am a weather wuss. But I hate hate hate humidity and summers here are killer and you don't even want to be outside. So I must find a happy medium.Well I have, just can't afford to move there. :-)
i am for the year round time, don't really care if it's standard or daylight savings. Although I do feel that sunlight before 7 a.m. is wasted daylight.
Olga - I am with you. I prefer DST but whatever they choose is okay just so we stick with it.
The first week is brutal for getting up for school and work! So not a morning person.
