Tomorrow is Ground Hog Day.
Good ole Punxsutawney Phil better not see his shadow because I don't want 6 more weeks of winter.
I grew up in PA so I am familiar with the town Punxsutawney.
Just like in the movie Ground Hog's Day the event is the biggest thing to happen in this little town all year, every year. According to Wikipedia the last census done in 2000 was 6,271 as it's population. So you can see why when everyone comes to town for Groundhog Day why it's a big deal. The town makes some serious money on that weekend with all of that Groundhog frolicking.

I think I'd pick the 3rd day of my honeymoon. The first day there we got married. The 2nd day we got seasick. The 3rd day was heaven sent. Feet buried in soft white sand in Jamaica. Sipping on a great cocktail, the sun kissing my skin and being so incredibly relaxed and with no stress and Rick right next to me.
It was exactly here in fact.....

Wow that's a toughy. If I say the day my kid was born that wouldn't be fair. I have 4 kids. Yet I feel somehow that would be the most politicly correct answer. But since this is not a politically correct blog I'll be more honest.
I truly do not know. There is no one day that was so wonderful that sticks out. I get my wonderment in bits and pieces and it is usually followed by disaster. I'm gonna stew on that and maybe come back later if I can come up with one. Great question though Peg!
i'm kind of hoping for more winter.
actually, it's doesn't matter what happens with some groundhog. where i live there are ALWAYS six more weeks of winter, sometimes eight or nine.
i gotta go. i have a fort to work on.
First....I LOVE that movie! I think it's Bill Murray's best work!
Second....pick a day....hmmmm! I guess I'm living a pretty good life, cuz there are way too many to pick! I mentioned this to my hubby, and we both instantly thought back to the 4th of July, 1985, in San Diego, on the beach with the kids at a big Navy Family Day, big cookout all day, kids playing in the water, and all 5 of us snuggled under the blanket on the sand, watching the fireworks directly over our us....it was magic!
Thanks for bringing that memory back! This is gonna be a pretty good day now, too!
Regan - you know what's funny that is similiar to a day that my hubby picked. Out of the blue he yelled upstairs, "remember the 4th of july under the blanket in my hometown?" Isn't it fun to think about? I have a ton of them but I am stress girl right now so that one I picked was so relaxing that I couldn't pass it up.
Regan I think Bill Murrays best is "What About Bob?" That is right up there with Ground Hog Day to me.
OMG.....Yes! What about Bob! Whenever I eat something really good, I start that 'mmmmm' thing, and rock back and forth a little, and then I laugh my ass off when I realize what I'm doing! Too funny!
my groundhog day would be one day where I felt significant accomplishment - but not my graduations because my dad ruined those by being a butt.
Maybe I am still waiting for my ultimate groundhog day.

Funny thing, I can think of days I WOULDN'T want to live over and over but coming up with one day that I would is hard! I too will have to think on this one!

hmmm. its hard to pick just one day and frankly i just dont know if ive had that many awesome days i want to relive. maybe they are still to come?
really though, i seriously enjoyed the five days it took my family to drive to oregon. there were times it was stressful and busy, but the fact that we were all together at the start of a new adventure just felt so awesome. it was like it was the four of us (plus pets) against the world. so yeah, maybe id pick one of those days. but not the one when we drove through Kansas. that sucked.
also, i like the changes you made around here. the blog looks nice.
