Quick Update

Alrighty, kids, here is what I did.

There is a customer complaint line at Walmart, but there is also a place to complain to their bigwigs. I did both. Then an email arrived asking me to rate my service at Walmart.

First, I thought that was fine, then I wondered how they got my email address. Anyway, I filled this one out too. So, except for running to the manager, I think I did my due diligence.

I filled out the form with the terminal address on my receipt, the ID #, and a plethora of other numbers and letters that meant something to them. No wonder these receipts are so damn long. It claims someone will contact me. Doubtful, but I did it.

It is pollen season here. I do not like this season. I never had allergies until I moved here. Everything is lined with this thick layer of yellow. You can hose it off, but in less than 24 hrs it is all yellow again.

I ran my car through the car wash. I was too lazy to do it myself. I knew my shoulder would just bark more, so I took the lazy route. My car looks so much better. I drove home and put it in the garage as fast as I could.
I had to use my windshield wipers to see through the pollen.
The car wash line was long. There are 18 manual bays, and all were full.
This is car wash season.

Everything is covered on my patio. We planned on taking all the covers off the furniture this week, but we are thinking we may just leave it covered until my sister arrives. She thinks it will be nice weather. She has no idea that this is the yellow season. I've warned her, but until you live this, you never quite fully understand it.  I know I didn't. I figured, we have pollen in VA, what's the big deal? No, this is like in inches, like snowfall.

I'm off to finish the mulch. Going to wear a mask today and take a DayQuil.
😁

Yellow season, wow. Sounds miserable. How long does it usually last?

It varies. Probably until end of May. It's brutal.

That pollen sounds awful. Using a car wash isn't lazy, it's simply using your time and energy wisely. Can you tell I ONLY use car washes?

It's bad here too but not that bad. Yuck!

Glad you contacted whatever corporate entities you could. Don't discount the power of social media, either. Public shaming does wonders. Sorry about the pollen, that's some straight up bullshit right there.

I just read your Walmart post and, wow, if ever a clerk deserved to have a complaint logged against her, she did!

That old saying still holds true - Don't eat the yellow snow.

When I dusted today there was a tinge of green on the rag, so full-on pollen season will be here before I know it.

My goodness that pollen is terrible. I hope that it isn't something that lasts too long.

Your pollen sounds like my snow: too much!

I'm glad you got your two cents in with your walmart experience.

Pollen is part of the reason I have an unlimited basic pass at Mister Carwash. It is located about two blocks from my house so when I am returning from errands I just pull through there. I worry that I may be rubbing the paint off my car but then the pollen couldn't be that could for thefinish either.

Barbara they just had a segment on our local news about the damage it does to your car. Rick used to love to wash our cars. But I see an unlimited basis pass for us now.

I made the mistake of opening windows and doors for fresh air. My home is covered in yellow/green.🤧
