While I am complaining about Rick I thought I'd share another beef other than his lack of bed making skills.
He says he can't believe I can find any others. Oh please.
He unloaded the dishwasher two weeks or so ago while I was out.
When I got home and saw this I thanked him for doing the dishes and unloading the dishwasher. But honestly ladies he doesn't make it easy. And there is no way in hell I will ever say, "Oh don't do it dear I'll do it". NO. Keep doing it. It's like a friggin' scavenger hunt when you unload the dishwasher, Rick. I'm up for the game.
Can you even imagine what would happen if I did not put a tool or object in the exact spot he feels they live in in that damn garage? Oh no.
Holy hell that would be bad. He would have such a hissy fit. And I stay out of the garage at all costs. He actually lives in this house and has for over 18 years. So there is a difference. Or so you'd think.
I could not find the lid to my small grater that is a bowl style with 2 types of lids for different grates for shredding or grated etc. I looked for days in places I thought he could have put this.
I asked him where he might have put the lid since it was not where it has lived for 18 years. He looked at me like I had a 3rd eye. Then he got up and walked to the cabinet where the grater bowl sits. 'Huh', he says.
Yes, Rick, that is what I am thinking. So you knew it went there but yet you put it somewhere else.
What the hell? Is this a man thing?
Then I was looking for a bowl. Nope, not with all the bowls nesting. Hmmm...
I have now found the grater - a week later.
He put it inside the roasting pan. Yep, that makes lots of sense.
The bowl you ask? Oh found that above the fridge.
Not nesting into all the others as it has been in 18 years. No siree.
Actually, I didn't find that bowl because I can't reach up there.
NEVER would have looked there.
He remembered at 10p on a Saturday night while we were watching a movie. He jumped out of the chair like his pants were on fire.
I asked, "Are you okay?" He just said YEP.
I watched him go to the cabinet and take out this bowl.
A bowl I might add, that was sitting atop some small items that I don't use often, balancing precariously. I just laughed as he put it on the island and stated, "You can put this wherever you want now" Wherever I want? I said, "how 'bout you just put it where it goes?" He pointed to a cabinet and said, "here?" as he laughed. Yes, you big ass, so you do know where it has always lived.
The last thing was a couple of utensils. It really doesn't matter which utensils they were they were not in the utensil drawer. How can he assume they would go anywhere else. When he needs one to flip a burger on the grill he goes into this drawer so why would he put them away somewhere else? Rhetorical question really.
I swear he is trying to drive me crazy or make me think that dementia has set in. That is my theory and I'm sticking to it.
If you come here one day and I have been committed to a rubber room you will know what happened. Hey, I watch a lot of Dateline and 48 hours, It's always the husband you know!😟

My husband puts everything up high, where I can't see or reach them, he's tall, I'm not, ;)
I once asked my husband to vacuum while I was out. His response, "But I don't know where you keep the vacuum." In the office closet that he used every single day.
Alessandra - Me too! (short)
Olga - oh that's funny.
I don't know if it's a man thing or what but it sure is annoying. I don't know this from experience because my husband never unloaded a dishwasher in his life but my sister-in-law used to have home health workers and every single one of them put stuff in different places. It was like a scavenger hunt when she wanted to cook.
Jean, exactly! A scavenger hunt. I recently put the ladder in the wrong place in the garage and you would have have thought I committed war crimes.
It's not a man thing. Or I need a very thorough gene analysis done. My wife will empty the dishwasher but only put about 1/2 the dishes away. The other half is left on the counter, right next to where it needs to go, but it "needs to dry".
Ever hear of a dish towel? She's deaf to that.
Nesting dishes/bowls, saute pans? Nah, just keep stacking them till the drawer won'f close, then call me to fix it.
When it comes to loading the dishwasher, she likes to put things in so they take up the most space possible. She'll have a butter dish laying flat in the glass rack. Always laying flat. She'll watch me stand it on its side, nestled between the little support spokes & put 3 glasses in where she had the butter dish.
So I get to load the dishwasher & put away dishes most times. Could be an evil plot on her part, but it's hard to keep that up for 36 years.
Oh - I can do hospital corners too. Yes, I'll make someone a fine wife someday. Or be a very successful widower.
Oh my God Brian this made me laugh out loud. Well if something happens to Rick and your spouse we have to meet sounds like we'd be a great pair hospital corners and we do the dishwasher the same. LOL
Claudia and I both watch Dateline and 48 hours. I don't know if she gets nervous or not but they are great training courses for me. :)
Mike - bad boy! But you guys are always the first suspect so plan well.
Scott never puts anything away, he just sets it somewhere else. Usually up high. That's where tall guys set things.
