I had a hair appointment yesterday after work.
Cut and color and all that fun. I actually love getting my hair done and my stylist is a rock star!!
But the point of this story is to tell you about a crazy ass woman who was in the salon.
This salon is a new concept.
The building has 60 or more hair salons in it.
When my gold star gal wanted to open her own business she made the move here.
She rents a room if you will, while small, it is hers and it works.
The door to her salon opens into a lovely seating area and she also has two chairs along with a chair/sink. It's decorated in a very nice and pleasing way. It's super comfortable and I think this is a cool concept for anyone wanting to start their own business. She gets to keep all her money and just pay rent to the owner. She has total control and this is her business and her hours. It's a cool concept.
Anyhoo, she had a person come into the salon while I was sitting there with color all over me.
The woman had what Rick refers to as Resting Bitch Face.
I am certain most men would turn their heads at this blonde person.
She thought she was hot shit. As she walked by me and looked at me I said, Hello. She said nothing. Not even a smile.
It's small everyone speaks to one another at least a salutation of hello and a smile. So in my mind, I filed her under, "Okay, she's one of those"
She sat in the chair 2 ft or less from me.
The conversation was flowing with the hair stylist and her two customers.
I was just listening as she went on and on. She began her tales telling us about a show called Purge which I had never heard of. She said after a certain amount of time, let's say for the purpose of this blog, it's one month. Every month you can kill someone with no repercussions. Not something I would ever watch.
She began to say she would kill all the homeless people who suck us dry as well as all the mentally ill who take up space and in her words were "useless" and the list got worse and worse. Everyone to her sucked the economy dry. She hates all people making less than 100K because as she said, "then get a better job"
The more she spoke the uglier she got.
She had such a bitter, curmudgeon and ugly attitude I was shocked.
She said one more thing and I felt my head explode and I turned my chair and said, "you are a new age republican aren't you? You don't give Halloween candy away either do you?" She retorted with,"Yes I am not like my fathers republican and I'm damn proud of it! And no those little shits can get their parents to buy their own candy."
Holy shit what a nice gal huh?
I looked at Tracey's face and she was mortified.
I turned my chair and thought, shut up Margaret this is not your client.
If it had been I would have asked her to leave or I'd have to shoot her.
haha, nope, but I would have asked her to leave only because I don't believe in owning a gun....because I'd have shot her.
By the time I got home and finished up dinner Tracey was texting me and apologizing. She said she has never seen this ugly side of her and she wanted to cry. She said it only got worse after I left. Then she told Tracy, your customer turned her chair from me as soon as I told her I was proud of trump. Guess she's a liberal. Tracey said, "She turned her chair from you because you are talking batshit crazy!"
The woman with resting bitch face said she was 43.
How did this young person get so ugly? How did she get so bitter and mean?
She is from Chicago and bitched about living here for 20 solid minutes.
Finally, I said in the kindest, nicest way possible I might add, "why don't you just move back to Chicago? Is that possible with your job?"
I assumed she had a job or was a kept woman since she felt all the people including the unemployed were sucking our system dry.
She then said if she wants to see 'that kid' she has to live within 35 miles of her ex-husband. "that kid"
Wow, what a warm loving heartfelt comment from the mom huh?
I just responded with Oh.
I didn't give a rats ass about her family or her so I didn't wish to talk to her further. She is toxic.
But that didn't stop her from yammering so all could hear.
I was thrilled I got to leave and leave her behind.
What a piece of work.
I sure hope nothing bad ever happens to this princess in her life because Karma is a bitch!

Comments
I am still not receiving my comments via email any longer.
Blogger tells me it is fixed. But it's not for me.
Any ideas that you could share?
I went in the back way and hit comments and accidentally deleted one.
Instead of hitting the post it was from I hit delete and there was no way to recover it.
I am just so frustrated with all of this.
If anyone can share anything at all on how to get these back I would so appreciate it.

I'm here!!
Rick enjoys busting my chops about my family and me.
I had an Uncle Angelo who did this every time I saw him.
The first time Rick witnessed this was when we arrived at my parent's house.
Uncle Ange was sitting at the kitchen island and as I walked in he lifted his arms and would say, "Hey Peggy's here" a laugh kind of sound was at the end or beginning of this phrase.
I loved/adored this man.
I never really thought about all the times he's done that.
Until we saw this on Everybody Loves Raymond.
I had an Uncle Joe who did the same thing.
One day when I lived in an apartment above my Aunts house he stopped by to give this sister in law of his some vegetables from his garden.
Rick and I were walking out of our apartment and saw Uncle Joe on the porch and he said, "Peggy's here!"
Rick burst into laughter.
Again I honestly never noticed this before Rick pointed it out to me.
Last night I got an email from my former sister in law in Vermont.
She wrote how excited they are about my visit.
Her husband (my ex's brother) may cry and get very emotional when he sees you just so you are prepared. She went on, He told me that I can't wait to hug her and I can't believe Peggy will be here. yeah!
Oh no! Why did he read my email. I knew the ribbing was about to start.
Rick read this and said, "If any of them raise their arms like your Uncle's and say Peggy's here YIPEE" I want it on video.
Now look, I have a sister or two who would only cheer if I left the room.
So not everyone does this but enough of them that my damn husband must torture me about it.
"Why Rick can't you just be happy that people like me instead of making fun of me about this?".
"Now, what fun would that be? C'mon Margaret"

Story to describe yourself.
I was asked to write a story that has happened to me that would tell you who I am, or that describes me.
I had to think about that for a long time. I couldn't think of a thing.
When I asked my husband he suggested the story of me breaking my nose. I think I've told that here but once again when searching I couldn't find it. So I will repeat if I did write it here. He thinks that shows you who I am to my core. I am not so sure but couldn't think of anything at all.
I was working for a small commuter airline in Latrobe PA.
I lived in Erie PA.
For those who don't know they aren't even close.
So I had to fly to work every day.
One evening the snow was so bad our flight was canceled. I was wearing an early 80's business suit. You know like Melanie Griffith's Working Girl.
A pilot I worked with and I went to this small motel that the airline put us up in.
This small hotel had a screen door and then your motel door.
Small town, small motel. Not even a hotel.
When I got to my room I carefully folded my clothes knowing I had to wear them tomorrow. But I was freezing in just my panties and blouse.
So I called the pilot in the room next door, whose name I don't recall now.
I asked if he had any clothes, dirty or not, in his bag I could wear.
I told him I was very cold. He said sure. be right over. I got dressed again.
He brought me a shirt and some socks. I was thrilled.
He said his room was freezing too and he called the front desk and told them we were both cold.
Apparently, this was the warmest it was going to get.
After he left I put on his uniform shirt and it went to my knees which was perfect. I had socks so at least I was now warm. I didn't care if he had already worn them my feet needed something this room was so cold.
In the morning I folded his shirt and put it along with his socks on the dresser.
I went into the bathroom to shower and get ready for work.
I got in the shower and did what one does.
I put shampoo in my hair and my goodness I was so damn cold.
I opened the shower curtain halfway and saw the door had swung open.
I thought if it were closed I could get it warmer in here.
I leaned forward at the waist and pushed the door to close it. (feet firmly planted in the tub)
Oh, it closed and I fell face first onto the tile floor.
I hit the floor hard with my face.
I stood up and I swore I saw stars.
It took me a minute or so to get my bearings and the room to stop spinning.
I was completely back in the shower now and I had my back to the shower head. I leaned back and rinsed my hair.
I felt something running down my face.
Because I knew the water was not hitting my face I put my hand up to my face to see what this was. It was blood. I finished rinsing my hair.
I got out of the shower and my nose would not stop bleeding. I looked in the mirror and realized I had a cut on the top of my nose and I thought I may have broken it as well. It was still really bleeding. The top and out of my nostrils. Everything on my nose was bleeding a lot.
I put a washcloth on my nose to hold the blood as I tried to clean up the blood on the floor with another washcloth. When I stood up I was so dizzy.
Then I saw blood everywhere. The floor, the sink, the tub. I grabbed a towel and began to clean up. I got another washcloth because I had bled through the first one.
I was dizzy and now nauseous.
I was freaking out that I had blood all over these white towels.
I couldn't just leave them like that. What would the motel say?
Or worse the cleaning crew.
I had to do something so I wasn't leaving a mess for others.
So I filled up the bathtub with cold water. I grabbed the ice bucket from the night before and threw that cold ice and water into the tub. I put all the towels and washcloths I had used into the tub. I left myself one washcloth to hold on my nose. I was really hoping this would help clean the towels.
I did everything while holding a washcloth on my nose with one hand.
My boss was to pick me up that morning for work.
I tried to get dressed but every time I bent over I got really dizzy and the blood would pour. So I put my head back and tried to get dressed.
I got on my panties, but I needed two hands for my bra.
I put it on and just didn't hook it.
So I put on my blouse over my unhooked bra and thought maybe my boss could help me.
Why wasn't this blood stopping?
I went back into the bathroom and hung my head over the sink as I rinsed out my washcloth and made sure the sink was left clean.
I returned to the bed and waited for my boss.
My boss arrived. I let her in and she shrieked. She helped me with my clothes and I felt so damn uncomfortable but what could I do. We did have a laugh as she tried to put on my pantyhose. Oh, the 80's.
She then called the pilot and asked him to phone the office and tell them we were going to the hospital.
I asked her to give him back the clothes on the dresser.
She teased me and said, Do I need to ask what went on last night?
I explained why I asked for his clothes, and told her that he did not leave them behind!
She left to give the clothes to the pilot and then go to the front desk as I laid on the bed on my back with a cloth on my nose. I begged her to tell them about the towels in the tub. I did not want them to be surprised. Her only concern was that I may need the room so she wanted them to know I was not checking out.
My only concern was the bloody towels and not leaving something for someone else to clean up after.
While she was doing this I took my washcloth and held it to my nose and with one hand emptied the tub water and refilled it. I saw that a great deal of the blood had been removed from the towels. I hoped soaking them some more in fresh unbloody water would do the trick.
When she returned from the front desk we left for the hospital.
I indeed broke my nose and I had a bad cut across the top that received some butterfly thing. I had a concussion and also had to get a tetanus shot. They set my nose at the hospital and boy that was fun let me tell you! Then I was sent on my way. But I could not fly until evening. I was not allowed to fly in an unpressurized aircraft. So the next flight was not until about 6pm. It was still early morning.
My flight went to Pittsburgh then on to Erie as it did every day.
Now back at the hotel I sat on the bed and turned on the TV. I was not feeling great. I wanted to sleep but the dr told my boss that I couldn't sleep due to the concussion. I sat upright on the bed with cotton in my nose, a bandage over my nose and a big fat headache.
Every 20 minutes the phone would ring and wake me. She had someone in the office call me all day every 20 minutes. I had no time to sleep.
That night as I sat in the airport, which looked exactly like the one on TV show Wings, I felt like crap.
I knew all these people in the airport, just like on Wings.
I now had a bandage on my nose and two black eyes. As we all sat around the food counter one of the pilots I worked with asked me where my hands were in this scenario when I fell forward. Before I could answer George, my favorite captain of all time said to everyone, "Look how she's built, it's surprising she doesn't fall forward more often." Everyone laughed and I found it funny too. I couldn't smile without a great deal of pain so there was no laughing for me. I loved these people and I knew I would never live this down. Especially with my friend George. But at that moment in time, I just wanted to go home and be in my bed.
I did not work or fly for a few days but when I went back to work my boss informed me that when she went back to the motel to square up later that day they told her they appreciated the fact that I soaked their towels and quite frankly couldn't believe I did that. She told them that she has only known me for 1 year but she can see me worrying about such things. Gee, wouldn't you?
Your turn.
I had to think about that for a long time. I couldn't think of a thing.

Creeps Everywhere
I LOVED the show Designing Women in the '80s.
My husband watched it with me and would say that I was 3/4 Julia Sugarbaker and 1/4 Suzanne Sugarbaker. And some days 50-50.
While that made me laugh, I admit he was correct.
I was a fan of all the shows written by Linda Bloodworth Thomason.
Evening Shade and Hearts Afire to name a few.
Now I try not to put politics here but this recent mess with all these men doing horrific things I had to jump in.
None of it surprises me. But I have to say something about this latest.
A man said to me recently that he doesn't believe all of this because he has never seen it happen. He claims he knows no one who has ever been harassed sexually or otherwise.
I guess he lives in a cave alone on an island.
But to say he can't believe it because he hasn't seen it is the phrase that gets me. So do you believe in God? Have you ever seen him/her?
What a lame ass excuse from someone who probably is an offender.
Well, I can tell that dip stick that it does happen. I am a woman.
I have had sexual harassment most of my life.
The one time I stood up for myself was such a freeing day for me.
Scary as hell, but it felt good.
Today I could sue. If I had sued I would be sitting right now on an island sipping a cold beverage and sunning myself because I would have made big bucks. But back in the day, you didn't sue. You were afraid you'd lose your job and I know what I had to endure after I just stood up for myself. There was no HR I could get to help me.
Yesterday I read this article and it made me fume.
Linda Bloodworth Thomason wrote about her experience with Les Moonves. Boy, he sounds like a real jerk.
After reading this I thought, hey, no wonder there is nothing on CBS I watch.
They are all male driven like NCIS, Blue Bloods, Swat, Hawaii 5-O. None of these have I ever watched an episode of. The list is long of his male dominate shows and I never noticed it. I just knew that CBS had crap on prime time to me so I never went there. I can think of two shows I did watch and both are gone now anyway.
So check this article out in the Hollywood Reporter.
Interesting and very sad read to me.
What the hell is wrong with men? This shit has been going on for as long as they have been around. But it's time, this must stop!
Here is some background on the CBS news firing of head honcho-
That is indeed a threat to lose her job.
He said he shouldn't be fired for one text. Oh, c'mon now.
So if one steals only once should they not be arrested?
If one commits murder only once is that a get out of jail free card?
So you threaten a reporters job so she writes what you want not what she finds to be true or backs up the issues at her company. To you that is no big deal?
I know men reading will say, well this isn't as bad as that.
That is the issue here! Men never see any of this as bad.
It is her livelihood and he is threatening her to lie to protect his bad behavior.
The denigration of the women who were raped, their heads pushed down to blow them, the women who couldn't get work because they made it impossible for them to do so all have a special place in hell I can only hope.
This job for this reporter probably keeps a roof over her and her family. This job feeds her kids. She should not be intimidated to do what he wants. She should not have to lie so he can keep his job for doing what he knows is wrong.
For the love of God, this fires me up.
Now I realize I generalized here. Not all men are shit heads.
My husband has seen years of shit I have had to deal with.
It has made his eyes wide open and has made him so understanding of all of this. But does he get as upset as me? Of course not, until it happens to you, you don't fully get it. I know today as I type this that I wish I had had the courage to stand up to these jerks in the 70's. I wish in 1987 I didn't have to do what I did to this man who would not stop harassing me.
I wish in 1987 there was a Ronan Farrow and a #metoo movement because that would have given me the courage to speak up and not cry and hide.
I will leave you with something light - (and every year prior)

My husband watched it with me and would say that I was 3/4 Julia Sugarbaker and 1/4 Suzanne Sugarbaker. And some days 50-50.

Here is some background on the CBS news firing of head honcho-
National Correspondent Jericka Duncan, who has been reporting on CBS’ exec harassment allegations and exits, said Fager texted her after she contacted him for comment on Ronan Farrow’s Sunday New Yorker article, in which another woman alleged Fager has sexually harassed her at an office party.
The Fager text read:
If you repeat these false accusations without any of your own reporting to back them up, you will be responsible for harming me. Be careful. There are people who lost their jobs trying to harm me and if you pass on these damaging claims without your own reporting to back them up that will become a serious problem.
Earlier on Wednesday, after CBS News announced Fager’s exit, effective immediately, Fager said in a statement that CBS had “terminated my contract early because I sent a text message to one of our own CBS reporters demanding that she be fair in covering the story.”
______That is indeed a threat to lose her job.

Random things going through my little head.
Boy, I am back in the saddle. Vacation is definitely over!
Nutjob just called and asked if we would come due to the threat of Hurricane Florence. First of all, we are only getting rain.
A lot of rain, but it's only rain. We are not in it's path right now.
Rain does not need to be plowed. We will be there.
Then she said that her house will be muddy and full of water if we come.
I suggested she reschedule. I mean look if you are this crazy then put yourself at ease and switch days. But no, she went on a tirade for a full 5 minutes about mud, water, hurricane oh my!
I explained how the men wear booties over their shoes. They will not be tracking in mud. The window that we open to put the tubing out for exhausting the fumes is fully covered so nothing will be able to come in. Typically without rain, the guys will vacuum up the bathroom and leave it normally better than when we arrived. Especially those bathrooms that have enough hair on the floor to make a full-size dog. Those are vacuumed before we start and then again after. Don't want hair flying around the room and embed in the wet coating on whatever we are refinishing. The guys wear baseball caps and long white glove type things if they have hair on their arms. They are hermetically sealed. 😊
But I listened to her hysteria and tried to calm her. She didn't want to wait until October so this is it.
Now watch us go and get a hurricane and the weather people are wrong.
Won't that just make her right and crazy? 😨
I dropped my phone a long time ago. It's cracked everywhere. Then a pink line went down the side. It had become wider over the last 2 weeks making it hard to read. The battery was draining so quickly. Then on Monday night, it wouldn't shut off. It was possessed. It was jumping from app to app and I was not even holding it. I knew if it made it until morning I'd have to get a new phone.
Yesterday I finally got myself to the store to buy it. God how I hate that.
I couldn't trade mine in because it was so damaged. I hate having this payment on my bill but forking out $799 for a phone just pisses me off. This phone better last me a long time. But just in case I got the insurance this time.
Last night was spent getting all the things to work as it did before. Of course, I couldn't remember passwords and that whole nightmare. I spent my whole evening working on this silly stuff. These phones are necessary evils, aren't they?
Now to my weekly memes. Enjoy.

Change 80's to 70's and this is so very much ME!
I mean, c'mon, 2 addictions at once. What's not to love?

I did nothing on my summer vacation.
We adults had a good time at the lake too.
Even though I worked from 8 - 12pm I could still have fun.
Now that we don't have a house there we rent homes or condos in different areas of the lake. We see and go to new places. The lake is large, 22,000+ acres and 500 miles of shoreline so there is a lot of places we don't go as often.
This condo is on a point or peninsula.
It is a full 70-acre resort.
It has restaurants and bars right there.
Gift shops, indoor pools, tennis courts etc.
We drove over to a restaurant and then laughed because it took us all of 1 minute to get there. If it weren't for this boot on my foot we would have walked.
I did not wish to walk it, but normally I would like to think we would.
We went to a place that I have read and heard about for years and it was every bit as good as they said. I called ahead and told them I was celiac so I could ask my questions before sitting down and being the girl at the table with all the questions to the server who then has to go ask the chef etc. They put the chef on the phone. He thanked me for calling ahead and told me his Aunt is celiac as well so he really understood. I was thrilled. We discussed options for me and I got to ask him my questions because I had a menu at the condo I was looking at.
We made a reservation and got there on time. But the wait was long so we went to the bar. Then we decided to just eat at the bar. It was crazy busy and the restaurant was full, the outdoor patio where you can drive your boat up to was full and the bar had 4 seats left so we grabbed two.
The bartenders were fabulous. We had a couple of drinks and ate a great meal.
Rick has a cod meal that he raved about so much it was crazy. He had a mushroom risotto that was as good as he said, I tried it. I did not try the fish since I hate fish. I had a fabulous steak and the chef made sides for just me.
How lucky am I?
It was all so very good.
Rick talked about his meal every day after we ate there. Until our last night when I said, "want to just go back there instead of cooking?" He jumped at that. We did not make reservations and figured it wouldn't be all that busy since the holiday was over and the lake dies down a great deal after "the season"
This time we took the boat over. Not a good idea. My hair was a hoot. So I asked if we could just sit at the bar. For some reason having wild hair felt better at the bar than the dining room.
We bellied up to the bar to be met with a loud, "hey welcome back" and a man sitting directly across from us said, "yes, welcome back." We smiled and said thanks but had no idea who this was. Apparently, he was there the night we were there too. The bar filled up and Rick ordered his same meal. I had a salad and it was great as well. Everyone at the bar was chatty and a game began.
We all played this trivia game and had such a nice time. Lots of laughter and goofiness. We both wanted another drink but since we drove the boat we felt we better not. We said our goodbyes and said, "see you in the spring!" The man to my right told me to not wait until spring to move there. I smiled and said,"someday." Knowing full well it's the south and I can never live there full time.
We went back to the condo to a dog very happy to see us and we made ourselves another cocktail. We sat on our patio with Izzy and we all stared at the water and wished we didn't have to leave.
We did a lot of nothing. Sunning, boating, swimming, eating, drinking and napping. Oh, the napping was great!!
One thing we did do before we left was to go by our old home.
We wanted to see if they made outside changes to the dock and boat house etc. They replaced the wood on the dock which we knew it needed before we sold. We also saw that they did not take down the sign we had put up under the roof of the boat dock. I tried to take a photo of it as Rick was slowly riding by, but it is all very blurry as you can see below.
It said We don't skinny dip, We chunky dunk.
Rick said that maybe they have never noticed it. How could they not?
Rick drove home as slow as molasses so we didn't get another ticket.
I told him I'd rather pay another ticket than he drives this slow. He did not agree.
It was wonderful to be away but I'm back to the grind. Maybe if I could go away every 3 weeks it would help don't you think?
Oh Oh, I wanted to share this. On the way down to the lake after our ticket, I was getting hungry. Not much I can eat when traveling and I didn't want to get out our cooler for something so we stopped at McDonald's. Rick got Izzy out of the car for a quick walk around the back and I went in and got us 2 small vanilla milkshakes.
We are driving down the road and at the same time we both got so drowsy. I mean it hit me and I just couldn't keep my eyes open and I felt so odd. I asked Rick if he was okay. He said I can barely keep my eyes open. I was the same. I suggested we stop at this picnic area and close our eyes since Izzy was sleeping. We did just that. I felt drugged as did he. After 30 minutes we continued on but neither of us were the same. We were full of energy until we had that milkshake. We have been talking about it ever since. It seriously felt as though something was in that shake. Tryptophan? But what could it have been? The fact that this hit us both at close to the same time was awfully weird don't you think?
On the way home as we passed that Micky D's Rick said, "No milkshakes for you!" (like the soup nazi on Seinfeld) I laughed and agreed.
I am not sure I could ever have one again after that. It did not feel good and was mighty scary.
But we lived and had a wonderful week away from the city and the traffic.

Back to Work
If you are reading the header to this post it must be done in a whine because that is how I am feeling.
We came back to life in the 'burbs and are back to being landlocked.
We had rented the home from Friday to Friday.
We thought we'd come back to have 2 days to get into the faster life over a couple of days. Nope. ER for Izzy the Wonder Dog.
Not certain just yet what is wrong with her but I will keep you posted as I know things. Scary stuff, I wish she could talk it would be so helpful.
The day before I left I had to go to the Podiatrist.
This past winter I fell down a flight of stairs if you recall me writing about that.
I fell down the stairs, went around a corner, grabbed a baluster, got myself upright and came down on my feet hard. It was a great Olympic move.
Rick was walking into the house from the garage and saw me and said, "hey that was a 10" having no idea I had fallen.
It has made a complete mess on my right side.
I keep putting off everything thinking it will work itself off but it hasn't.
The foot pain was so bad I couldn't get a pedicure and have her touch me on the back of my heel without screaming in pain. I got to the point that I could not move my foot from my ankle towards me or away from me.
So it was time to go see someone. Heels could not be worn. That was the breaking point for me.
Long story longer, I have mucked up my Achilles. Not torn thankfully.
They gave me anti-inflammatories and I have to wear a walking boot for 6 weeks. ARGH!
It's so cumbersome and difficult to walk in. It makes me taller on my right side so then you walk weirdly which throws off your hips and back.
Honestly, this old age shit sucks. The doctor said to never wear completely flat shoes (I NEVER do) because it will be worse and no bare feet. Which I do all day long until I go outside with the dog. So no high heels/kitten heels, no flip flops, no bare feet. Geez!
I wear it as much as I can. At the lake, of course, I did not wear it while on the boat or in the water or on a beach. It has helped me a great deal which is wonderful.
But it is difficult to go up and down the stairs in that thing.
When I came home with this on Izzy wouldn't leave my side.
I think she felt she was helping me. And she was in her own sweet way.
The boot inflates so it really becomes a compression which feels rather good.
But I want it off sooner than later. It is really feeling so much better.

Everyone always asks me if the lake is clean. Here is a photo of the lake I took from the boat. Looks good to me. (Yes, with my long lens.)
Here is Izzy's summer vacation. (Ours will be later in the week.)
After a day of swimming, this is what she did below. We, adults, did too. Honestly, she just wants to be in the water.
At 5am she would wake us with her water toy (bumper)in her mouth and want to go down to the lake.
It pained us all to wait until daylight.
She just won't come into the house after swimming. She sits on the porch and stares at us but won't go inside. Silly girl. This is her way of telling us she was not ready to be inside.
These two need to get a room. She swam to him. Puts her back legs on his thighs and her front paws on his arm and she just relaxes a bit.
It's pretty funny to witness.
She did so much of this below that is why she was so tired.
If I ran back and forth swimming or running in sand for 4 hrs a day I would collapse too. I probably wouldn't need to lose weight either. The vet said she was in such good shape and her leg muscles were beautiful.
Good, now fix the poor girls liver.
And lastly, this is her 2nd favorite thing. Going Fishing with Rick.
She makes noises when she sees the fish and gets oh so upset when he loses the fish. She will grunt and growl at him as if to say, "you damn fool you lost the fish!"
It's crazy busy here today. I started this at 7:30am. It's now after 11AM.
Fill you in on our vacation when I get out from under all this damn work!

First Day of Vacation
Friday, August 31st at 10:15am as we were headed to the lake.
The officer asked if there was a reason Rick was driving over the speed limit.
We both laughed, the cop put his head into the window and Rick asked, "Is there a good answer to that question?"
The policeman laughed too and said, "well there could be a medical emergency or something like that"
Rick said, "No, just in a hurry to relax"
That made the smiling policeman laugh.
Unfortunately this did not prevent us from getting a huge ticket.
As Sammy says, "I can't drive 55!!"

Friday and I'm out of here....
Today we are driving to the land of water and mountains so I am bringing you back to 2013. (7 glorious days away from this office!!)
This post was about having all my fitting's on the dress for my step-daughters wedding. I still have the dress,
The stepdaughter no longer has the husband.
Yep, it's been less than 5 years.
I was recently told by a friend that she was reminded of this post when she was being fitted for her mother of the bride dress and she prayed this woman was not going to fondle her breasts with her cold hands as she did mine. So since it was fresh in my mind I thought I'd repost for the newbies while I am gone today.
So here you go.
Girl Angst - Men look away
Here is the final product of the dress.
