This just makes me so damn angry on so many levels.
First there is white privilege. If this punk was black, he'd have been expelled and charged and sitting in prison. Not going to classes and parties.
Then there is the fact that women hear from the time they are very small, don’t dress a certain way, don’t smile, don’t take that drink, don’t go there alone and on and on. Yet boys aren’t taught to not Rape, Hit, Abuse or inflict harm on others cause boys will be boys. If you are raging mad, WALK AWAY! Sickening!!

Even though he's been charged, this is way more than a "boys will be boys" thing. This guy sounds like a sociopath that needs to be locked away.
Mike, while I agree with you to a point, I'm so tired of young men getting off for bad behavior against women and anyone different from them. Why aren't parents appalled? Instead they help their 'perpetrator' son/kid more often than not.
Patti this happened a week ago and because of the protesters, being on social media and all the attention he was finally arrested. It only took a 8 days after she went to police.. I would not be surprised the school finally did the right thing after benefactors went to them about the schools image. I am certain once it hurts their pockets then they paid attention sadly

I didn't hear about this particular incident but there have been so many others and I totally agree with you. So pitiful. We have failed as parents and as a society.
I don't understand why no one cares. I taught my boys that they should treat girls like they would want their sister treated (although I didn't have any girls, but I was one once!). Hope he gets kicked out of school.
The days of fraternities and sororities should be over. They've never been upstanding in my view and they've gone downhill year after year. Abolish the greek system and all the other nonsense. Young people can go to school and, well, get educated and stop this organized bullshit.

As a mother of a son he knows not to rape & abuse woman. He's a kind soul. They aren't all bad.
