Voice Winner

I watch The Voice. It goes on entirely too long.
It could be cut in half and work just fine.
So I skipped a lot of it this year.

If you were watching, do you think there is something wrong with the winner?
They keep talking about his "issues"
What issues are they talking about?
Is it that he sings like a girl and sort of looks like a boy?
Is it that he is overweight?
Is it that he has a blank stare like no one is home?
Is he autistic?

They always talk about how proud they are of him for overcoming his issues. In fact, they talk about it so much Rick said he was making it a drinking game. How many times do you think Adam or a judge will say, "issues" he has overcome tonight, Rick would ask.
But of course, they never talk about what those may be.
He is strange but mostly creepy to me.
Like something is going on behind that blank stare that scares me. Even when he was being complemented he just would stare and not even smile. eewww! But he can certainly sing.
Kind of on the same page as the woman who won Britain's Got Talent, Susan Boyle.

Something just felt to me that it wasn't quite right and since every damn week they talk about his "issues" as though it is a big deal I wanted to know what I missed. I never knew what they were. Anyone? Did they ever mention them?

Check the net. They are talking about his weight, self confidence, high pitched voice, etc.

Yes, I too listed those things. But, they talk like it's something else. He too talked about himself like they (judges) did. Friggin' odd!! Bottom line, he's creepy and has a beautiful voice, male or female..

Have no clue but I didn't think he was the best. I wanted Barret to win he had the best range to me. Oh well what do I know.

April, I didn't like the remaining 4 at all. Not a big country fan but I know that Barrett, the blonde and the ken doll will probably do well.
Barrett I think will be the most successful.

I found the discussion of Jordan's 'issues' annoying and sort of mean. Why not just say, "Dude! You can really sing!!" And then leave it at that.

I thought he did well in the competition, but I don't know how viable he will be commercially. Meh. I move in different circles. :)

Ami, I'm sorry you thought I was mean and annoying. I felt there was something wrong with him and the fact that the show kept talking about his issues was annoying to me. Yes, he can sing. And both the show and I both talked about hs issues. I just wondered what the hell they were if they were going to talk about them every minute. He seemed to have Aspergers to me. He didn't look at people in the eye etc. So I thought perhaps that was the issue. Just talking - that is what i do here.

Oh dear... no, I didn't mean YOU were mean and annoying, I meant the discussion on the *show*!!! They kept bringing up his issues as if that is all he is... odd and with issues. Rather than just being amazed at his voice.

I wasn't disagreeing with you at all. My daughter has Asperger's. It's something that we've lived with, well, for the last 22 years. And if someone looked at her Asperger's as if that's all she is, I'd be pissed.

I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear. I would never come to someone's blog and be mean like that!!!
