Seriously this is what we argue about?

Last night Rick and I got into this disagreement about something.
Something important you ask?
Why Hell no!

Now how the hell we even got to this subject we can't even remember.
But seriously this had us in laughter on the couch that was apparently so loud we woke up Miss Izzy the Great Sleeping Labrador. She looked back us at clearly annoyed with us. Which of course made us laugh all the more.

Rick insisted that Dudley Doo-Right's horse had a name.
I insisted they never told us the horses name.
I remember Nell who the great Mountie saved.
But I don't recall his trusty horses name.
Do you?

We got to laughing about this and going back and forth with our comments.
We were both too lazy to get our fat asses off the sofa to get on the web.

Finally I got up and got my phone to google this burning question.
Sure enough Rick was right.
Oooh it burns my fingers to even type that phrase, "rick.was.right"
oooh I have chills.

Anyway the friggin' horse did have a name it's name was Horse!
That information then led me to where Bullwinkle went to college.
Ha - you don't know his alma mater either do you?
Why you're welcome for this tid bit. It could win you a game of trivia some day.
Bullwinkle J. Moose (yes that is his full name)  went to Wassamatta U.
Sure sounds like a place that my father should have gone to school.

So you see this is the high brow conversation at our home.
Don't judge; what the hell are you talking about at your home?

I love having a smart phone now for exactly this reason! To look up silly arguments like this. I do it all the time!

don't you just hate when that happens? My husband and I rarely fight and when we do it's about the stupid little things; UGH!

Margaret (Peggy or Peg too) said...

Tracy - this really wasn't an agrument. it was our competitive nature at work insisting we each were right and laughing the whole time. We don't argue unless in the car!!

Well.....
Last week, we talked about how fun it would be to watch a stripper use her 'womanly body parts' besides her boobs to pick up dollar bills. I won't go into graphic details except words like 'camel lips' came into the conversation......
Yeah, don't judge......

Mamma/Bonnie - you do live in a house of total testosterone don't you? :-)

Lately our talks have been about porte cocheres and the "R" word and both topics can get quite... ummmm... testy. Yeah, that's a nice way to put it!

Margaret (Peggy or Peg too) said...

Ms. A / Cora - the R word? as in retire? I get the portico or porte cocheres but the R word I am not familiar with - probably because if it is retire it is something I will never ever be able to do!

Ms. A said...

Yep, that's the word!

Arnebya - YOU DON'T LIKE BULLWINKLE? How can you say that? Hey, what me pull a rabbit out of my hat?...tee hee
Do you like Rocky?
Natasha and Boris?
Oh jeez I know too much info on this topic.

Our conversations run the gamut from inane to serious current political events. We can discuss the presidential election and N. Korea nukes in one breath and then be off debating the sound effect used when Dr. Jekyll turned into Mr. Hyde on Bugs Bunny (so glad for YouTube to prove that MY sound effect was accurate. It was very very important to prove).

I did know Bullwinkle's full name (though I always disliked him). And you have no idea how hard I'm laughing at the horse being named Horse.

Margaret (Peggy or Peg too) said...

my damn fat fingers - that was supposed to read, "Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat"

Arneyba do you like Bugs Bunny?
If you say no to ole Bugs I need to have a serious talking to with you. :-)

Julie - me too!!

My answer to all trivia questions is 'who cares'?.

Margaret (Peggy or Peg too) said...

Mike that is because you don't know the answer!

I'm laughing out loud over here. I was guessing that horses name was Trigger but then I remembered that was Roy Rogers horse. I think when I was a kid, Bullwinkle J. Moose's college WASSAMATTA U, must have gone right over my head because, I don't remember it. But now, I think it's hysterical. The comment that your dad should have gone to that school cracked me up. That should have been my dads alma mater as well. Actually, mine too! This week over at our house we have been discussing (if you want to call it that) our daughter piercing her ear for the 4th time, and begging for a nose ring. (Not going to happen on my time.) We've also been debating if it is okay to have gay rallies on Catholic University Campus? I'll bet you a million dollars your guess as to what my opinion is on that isn't what you think. Anyway, I'll bet you wish you were here!

Now that I am done laughing, I can comment. I am sorry, but if Rick did not KNOW the name, he gets no credit for saying he had one. As far as I am concerned it was a lucky guess, especially considering the name was Horse!

ha. was this argument before or after the nightly adult beverages? ;)

Margaret (Peggy or Peg too) said...

Tia - this is funny. I think God knew what he was doing when he didn't give me kids. I can hear me saying, "Not while living under my roof" if my daughter wanted a nose ring. (think of your career choices!)Yea, he knows best! I'd be a difficult mom. :-)

I bet I do know your take on this. You are a very open and compassionate person - albeit Catholic...tee hee. I think you would be okay with this.

Quintina - spoken like a woman who doesn't like to lose either!

Tammie - sadly we weren't even drinking. This is just our normal sick dynamic in our home.
