Fire, Flooding and Heat.
Wherever you live in the US one of these is in your area.
My friend in Erie PA said their town looked apocalyptic from all the smoke coming from the Ontario wildfires. It must be awful. I saw video of NYC and you could barely see the buildings.
I am dealing with heat and a drought with water restrictions. My plants are not loving this weather either.
I watched an HBO documentary in the 80s. Orson Wells was the narrator. It was about Nostradamus. I remember a few things vividly. This weather he wrote about and the time frame is one of them. And its happening. Wild.
I hope wherever you live you're high and dry, not floating away or melting. Be safe.

Im so sorry. Stay indoors!! Good excuse to take it easy today. They say its going to rain which should help you. I hope!!
Here in middle north Indiana the heat and humidity is making the smoke stagnant over us. I feel so awful for the people involved in the wildfires. Heat and air quality warnings until at least Saturday. I am mostly inside but hate having to stay in so much.
My garden is a total bust this year, planted twice and no germination.

I also heard/saw predictions of Nostradamus. The one about New York and the fall of towers stayed with me. But I think a lot of his predictions also didn't come true, so here's hoping we've been cherry-picking.
We haven't had wildfire smoke to speak of here in Saskatchewan yet this year, but last summer? Awful. I'm sure we'll get our turn again. Between smoke and heat, especially both on the same day so you can't open your windows overnight to cool the house, and no air conditioning ... I dread it.

I just read that some congress critter is trying to legislate fines against our neighbors to the North because of the smoke. We're truly living in messed up times. The weather where I am isn't bad right now. We had thunderstorms yesterday morning, though.

All good (currently) in Western Canada (Alberta), but we've been in Ontario's/California's/Australia's shoes several times. Sorry dear southern neighbours...despite eejit politicians, fire & smoke ignores borders, doesn't it?
😁 we are not used to 95% humidity and temps of 105. Awfully thick outside.
Oh JC, my flowers are not thriving at all! Pools are closed here due to the air. So tv and games is all one can do.
We cant even go to the pool at the Y. We tried. Its outside so they said the air is not for people to be in. Rick suggested we open a bottle of wine and forget about going outside until November. I am grateful for air conditioning when its 88 as a low, there are no open windows in my home, day or night. Stay well

I've never experienced this so I've been lucky. Never felt heat and humidity like this. Never dealt with wild fire smoke. So I'd say I've been a pretty damn lucky gal. But I've experienced it now and I must say, I've had enough!! Im spoiled like that
I'm sorry. A good day to stay inside. The poor dogs is where my mind went first. You've got to walk them they cant wear masks. Be safe
We're hot and dry here, like most every year at this time. Skies are (currently) strangely clear of wildfire smoke. Let's make it to November!
Here, here!! Im looking forward to November. I went out to water so.e plants. Straightened somethings around the patio. At that point I was dripping wet with sweat. My hair was dripping. Back inside for rest of day!!
After a few days of heat & smoke, we had a thunder storm last night. Today it is sunny & warm here in the upper Midwest. My garden is very grateful for the rain.
I have been outside less this summer than ever before. We've had so much rain my plants are looking great. I'm just dreading when the rain moves on and I have to stand out there everyday with the water hose. I guess I should be glad that we have water.
Oh, that is great Paula. Now if I'd get rain and 85 degrees I'd be happy. The humidity is so thick and the heat is not something I've ever experienced in my life. In all honesty I'd prefer 65 degrees. Lol
Same here. No walks, no enjoying our patio. Just inside. Yes you guys in TX are getting hammered with rain and flooding and we're having a drought. My plants look bad. Except the portulucas 🌵
We don't have water issues here in MI bu we have smoke, paradises and bedbugs.
Do you mean parasites? Or you have paradise? I'm hoping for your sake you're in paradise. Bed bugs. I had them in a 5 star hotel. Icky! But I didn't have to pay.. Lol. They claimed flight crews stayed there and probably brought them in. Whatever, its awful!!
