this reminded me of a friend when I was younger. She was gorgeous.
A cool, aloof gal. A matter of fact kind of gal like on Dragnet, book 'em Dano. She was like that. Smart as a whip. She never just laughed and smiled easily. How we came together was interesting. She was a good friend when you hung around long enough to find that out. Most didn't, including guys. Guys didn't care at first, she was pretty, they were drawn to her like moths to light. When we went out the men would flock because of her, but ended up with me and she could never figure out why. I guess she assumed because I wasn't as pretty as her I had nothing to offer. Ah, but my friend I did and do. :-) The smart guys got that. I didn't need the others if they didn't get that.
And lastly this is a photo of Lake Erie from Presque Isle State Park.
While these sort of look like rocks they are melting ice dunes.
I just thought it was pretty and I follow P.I. on my facebook so I thought I'd share.

I was looking at that thinking I know who she is. But I couldn't come up with a name. I did a search on the picture and got a bazzion hits on the meme. Finally, one site mentioned Meryl Streep!
Husband wished me a happy Valentine's Day this morning. I laughed because, if he knows me, he was joking. Now I'm thinking I should've made some dick pops for the occasion.
I wonder about all these videos and pics of people being so helpful to others. Someone was filming! It's not as random as it looks!
I did the usual Thursday night line dancing with the girls, antique girls to be clear. I do like to check out the nearby Publix late afternoon, all the men dashing around grabbing heart shaped candy boxes or a bouquet. There was a young man in front of me at the checkout spending 150 bucks on several bouquets, a huge balloon, the biggest heart shaped box I have ever seen. I said, you must have a lot of girl friends. He replied, just one but there's her mother and my mother and our sisters. So good looking and so sweet, almost made me tear up.
Olga, I wonder what that sweet young man received? It seems this has become a woman's holiday for some reason.

Even though VD has passed, what fun memes, and quite a few I could susre relate to. Hubby things VD sucks, and since he feels that way, I've pretty much agreed that I should get all the presents, while he gets home cooked dinner or breakfast.(lol) So sorry you haven't been feeling well, and I can imagine the weather there has been the pits! Sending some hugs your way. RO
